Seasonal collections and special events are two tried and true ways to drive sales for existing clients and to entice new ones. Invite clients to see the new colors and looks of the season, and take the opportunity to feature some of your existing products such as custom foundation and minerals.
The Offer: Offer "Complimentary Spring Makeovers" and demonstrate how beautiful your clients can look with your products. To make sure your guests attend their lesson, charge a nominal fee ($25) for the lesson and apply it to any products purchased.

Sales skills can make your cosmetic business a huge success. The most important technique is “link selling” (adding related items to the purchase). Most people come to a makeup counter willing to buy more than they planned on. Succeed at link selling by finding out your clients’ needs, learning about your products and partnering with your staff.
The Offer: While your client's hair color is processing, your colorist suggests custom makeup to complete her new look. Or after your client's micro-dermabrasion treatment, your esthetician can suggest mineral powder products to the client to keep her skin looking and feeling great.
